Ignite the Power of STEM Grants Program

Ignite the Power of STEM Grants Program supports teachers and schools in North Carolina working to bring innovative science programming to their students. Each year, the Foundation awards more than 50 grants, reaching elementary, middle and high school students.  Teachers can apply online each fall. Our two main U.S. campuses in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina each feature a dedicated laboratory classroom that hosts local middle and high school students free of charge. The Community Lab is the signature example of our commitment to STEM education and serves as a catalyst for students to learn firsthand that there are countless careers in science and biotechnology. It offers daylong, interactive science activities, intensive summer programs and opportunities to meet the “real” scientists of Biogen. Teachers in Wake and Durham Counties can participate by contacting their county science coordinator.
