Unit 6: Linux and macOS

Unit 6: Linux and macOS

Unit Description

Students spend a little bit of time exploring the two other OS they are likely to run across as an IT support specialist. A week is given to explore each of the Linux OS and macOS so students can become familiar with the interface design and commands, if they are not already familiar with them. Just as in Windows, students should understand how to manage disks, files, users, and applications. The final week explores maintenance tools and tasks across all three OS.
